MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAM

Have you ever thought about the role manager’s play in an Organization? It’s not just about delegating
tasks, though of course that is part of it. In reality, managers set the example for the people on their team, and are also supposed to emulate company behaviors and values. They are ambassadors for the
organisation and its culture as they interact with customers and other key stakeholders. They carry vision of the organisation in their department. They influence other team members to work hard for the organization. While part of their role is managing people’s time, another part is to ensure team members
understand the company’s vision and purpose, and are committed to achieve them.

Becoming a manager for the first time is a big responsibility. Experience shows that most of managers were technical personnel, with technical potentials, managing process, technical requirements but now, they are leading people. While it may be exciting for some, it’s intimidating to think that suddenly another person’s workload, workplace, welfare, and career are in your hands! Traditionally people become managers by rising through the ranks and still it’s not enough to take the position. In today’s changing landscape, people can become managers early on without necessarily being ready for it because of so many factors.

It’s not an easy task and should be taken seriously by everyone at all levels of the organization. Whilst there are many factors that can influence a team’s success, a great manager is certainly one of the most important ones. How can we ensure managers have the necessary skills to perform their responsibilities well, and ultimately drive their team members towards organizational success?

Managers are made, not born. A Manager is getting things done through other people. An effective manager brings life to an organization by directing people, gathering resources and creating budgets. He has the leadership skills to create a productive environment and accomplish objectives. Managers are the true and most important change agents in the company. Above all, they are team leaders. They lead the productive layer of the company – the ones that turn the company ideas into something real for the customers.

Entrusted with a leadership role, a manager is responsible for overseeing a department or group of
employees within a specific organisation or company. Managers are utilized in every sector, and the
business model relies on their leadership and ability to operationalise the management structure.

Effective management require a managers to know what to do, learn how to do it and then do it. The
program as a whole it is structured to respond to these important facts. The program will use facilitation
technique, case studies, demonstration, questions and answers, Guest speakers, practical guidelines and manuals specifically to facilitate managers to do what they are supposed to do.
